Find suppliers for the work you actually need

A useful supplier search starts with manufacturing requirements. Specify the process in your technical description if you know it. Supplier availability and the number of responses depend on the project; publication is not a guarantee of quotations.

  1. CNC machining

Turning and milling for prototypes or production runs. Include material grade, critical dimensions, tolerances and inspection requirements.

  2. Sheet metal

Cutting, bending and welded assemblies. Specify thickness, bend details, finish and the drawing revision.

  3. Fabrication and other processes

Metal structures, welding, casting, stamping, surface treatments and assemblies. Describe the scope, applicable standards and any subcontracted operations.

02

From supplier search to a comparable quotation

Supplyria is a request-for-quotation marketplace, not a managed purchasing service or an instant supplier-matching guarantee. The buyer selects the manufacturing partner and agrees the order directly.

Request supplier quotations
  1. 01 — Describe the project

Publish material, quantity and technical requirements. Attach the relevant drawing or explicitly indicate that no file is needed.

  2. 02 — Receive and clarify offers

Claim your RFQ using the confirmation email. Review supplier quotations and discuss missing details before treating an offer as complete.

  3. 03 — Compare and choose

Compare price, currency, delivery, minimum order quantity, quote validity and technical scope. Choose the partner only after your own checks.

03

What to include when requesting manufacturing quotes

Give suppliers the same baseline so they can quote the same work. The starting form asks for material, quantity and a description; you can add further project details after claiming your request.

  1. Technical definition

Material and standard, drawing revision, dimensions, critical tolerances, finish and acceptance criteria. Identify what is mandatory and what can be proposed as an alternative.

  2. Quantity and timing

Prototype or batch size, repeat-order expectations and required delivery date. Explain whether delivery means dispatch or arrival at your site.

  3. Complete commercial scope

Ask suppliers to separate tooling, setup, inspection, packaging and freight where relevant. State any required certificates, traceability or confidentiality agreement.

04

Compare supplier offers beyond the unit price

The cheapest quotation may cover a different material, revision or delivery scope. Confirm differences before choosing a metalworking supplier.

  1. Same technical scope

Check that material, drawing revision, tolerances, treatments and documentation match. Record exceptions and proposed substitutions.

  2. Same cost basis

Compare currencies and quantities. Include one-off costs, tooling ownership, taxes and transport instead of comparing unit prices alone.

  3. Feasible delivery

Clarify lead time, capacity, payment terms and offer expiry. Confirm samples or first-article approval before committing to a series order.

05

Verify your manufacturing partner before ordering

A quotation or a profile is not proof that a supplier meets every project requirement. Supplyria does not guarantee manufacturing quality, certification, delivery or the transaction.

  1. Company and capabilities

Verify legal identity, relevant machinery, references and capacity for your part. Ask how subcontracting and quality issues are handled.

  2. Quality and documentation

Check certificates, their scope and expiry directly. Agree inspection plans, material certificates, traceability and acceptance criteria in writing.

  3. Confidentiality and agreement

Only upload information you are entitled to share. Remove sensitive details if needed and agree a suitable NDA, order terms and payment arrangements directly.

Start your supplier search with a technical request

Describe what you need and attach a drawing, or explicitly choose to continue without a file. Your request will be published; the confirmation email lets you claim and manage it.

New request for quotation

Describe your requirement and attach the drawing. Use the same free Supplyria RFQ flow as the main landing page.

PDF, DWG, DXF, STEP, IGES or image — maximum 20 MB

Free request. No obligation to purchase.

About your request data

Your request is published on Supplyria. Your email is used to confirm ownership. Do not include information that is not appropriate to share with potential suppliers.

Questions about finding metalworking suppliers

Is Supplyria a supplier directory?

Supplyria focuses on project-based RFQs and supplier quotations. You describe a manufacturing requirement and evaluate responses; this page is not a public catalogue of guaranteed available suppliers.

Can I request quotes without a drawing?

Yes, by explicitly selecting the no-file option. Provide a clear description of material, quantity and scope. Suppliers may still need drawings or clarification before quoting accurately.

Will I receive a guaranteed number of quotations?

No. Availability and responses depend on the technical requirements and supplier interest. There is no guaranteed quotation count or response time.

Does Supplyria select or certify the supplier for me?

No. You remain responsible for due diligence and supplier selection. Verify capabilities, certificates, samples and commercial terms before agreeing an order.

Supplyria connects buyers and suppliers through RFQs. It is not a party to the manufacturing contract and does not guarantee quotations or the outcome of a supplier relationship.
